Founded in 1972 by David S. Stare whom paved the way for a renaissance of winemaking and viticulture in the Dry Creek Valley. Sustainable agriculture and minimal off-farm consumption are the estate dogma. From 100% solar energy to the recently completed fish habitat restoration project along the Dry Creek, a sustainable mindset permeates their winery culture.
Very deep ruby red colour with violet shades, on the nose are enticing aromatics of fresh blackberries, black cherry and toasty oak nuances. The palate is full body, dense and complex, with silky and smooth tanins and refined complex flavours of rasberry and licorice, giving way to intriguing notes of Asian spice and pepper for a luscious finish.
